For the past couple of weeks, since lockdown has been eased, I have been out and about taking socially distanced portraits of people in Preston and asking the questions; ‘what have you been up to during lockdown?’ and ‘what are your plans for Life After Lockdown’?
It has been fascinating finding out how people have managed the lockdown period. For most, life has changed, for many positive changes have taken place and for others, it has been a struggle.
Quite often, when I am not with my family, I spend my spare time alone taking photographs. So it was really good to do something different, make a connection with other people and take time out of my day to listen to people’s stories. I really enjoyed it and it has given me ideas for future projects.
My ‘Life After Lockdown’ Project is due to feature on a soon to be launched local website, so for the moment, I will share a small selection of the portraits with a view to sharing the interviews on this blog and my social media feed soon.
Update – The full project is now available to view here.
I hope you enjoy reading this blog. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
